Local Artist to paint KY River Mural on Beattyville Town Square

Congratulations to local artist Heather Watson!

We are excited to announce that Heather Watson was selected as the artist for the Town Square mural! Her beautiful hand drawn rendering has officially been approved and captures the natural beauty and spirit of our community.

As the Birthplace of the Kentucky River, Beattyville holds a special story, and we are very happy that this mural will represent that in such a meaningful and visually stunning way. The only addition will be incorporating “Beattyville, Kentucky” into the final artwork. We are currently working with Heather to have the mural painted on panels and then installed on the block wall at Town Square.

This mural will serve as the backdrop for our concerts and festivals and will create a wonderful photo opportunity for both residents and visitors. We look forward to working with Heather this summer to bring this project to life and get it installed! This project is made possible through grant funding from the Hickman Holler Foundation to Beattyville Main Street.
